Ittihad Kalba Club was established in the city of Kalba in 1962 and was called (Al Shaab Sports Club). During that period, several other clubs appeared such as Al Orouba, Al Shabab and Gulf Youth Club. These teams united in 1971 and formed a single entity called the Kalba Sports Club to be the sole sports representative of the city of Kalba. . The club played its matches in the second division until the 1979/1980 season, after which it was promoted to the first division.
